Dream of Duality
2025
Tulum, Mexico
Mayan thought understands everything around usβeverything we are able to perceive and comprehendβas emerging from two forces that are both opposing and complementary.
The existence of a duality between the earthly and the spiritual is present in everyday life. The divine spark that guides each personβs path reveals itself continuously.
At the center of this mural is the innocence of the human being within the movement of the whole, carrying in the hair the glimmer of a universe. Symbols embrace our memory through visual forms: a simple moon earring, or solar energy embodied as a macaw.
The term KABβAWIL comes from two concepts: Kabβ, meaning two, and Awil, meaning face or aspect. Together, it can be understood as Two Faces or Two Aspects, referring to these opposing yet complementary forces.
Our relationship with the natural environment is essential for balance. The mural highlights plants as living souls that can influence the destiny and well-being of every living being, allowing life to emerge in a better way.
Iβm deeply grateful to @horizontesmexicanos for the invitation, to @moniker.art for the incredible support, and to everyone involved in making this event possible, as well as all those who have contributed to my path so this mural could come to life in the best possible way.
