INCIDENCIAS is a new festival and a platform for young artists based in Mérida, Yucatán, with an objective to explore experimental media and to connect with other creatives as well as the international public. The first edition is set in a beautiful 3-story historical mansion that has been abandoned for decades but now in the middle of being restored. From now until January 15th, there are various programming including exhibiton, performance art, guided tours, music, workshops, family activities, culinary events, and guided tours.

Mérida is the vibrant capital of Yucatán state of Mexico, with rich cultural heritage from Mayan civilization and colonial history. Also being one of the fastest growing cities in recent years, Mérida has seen rapid changes in its contemporary culture due to the spotlights in international media and influx of visitors and residents from all over the world. In conjunction, the emerging art scene from Mérida is entering a fast growing contemporary art market, and we aim to introduce and celebrate the leading future generation of local artists in a sustainable way that is fresh, exciting, and relevant to the fabric of society.
